Boston Fashion Week: Designer Denise Hajjar
(Published in the Premier Issue of "THE BUZZ" Boston University's Student Lifestyle Magazine Fall 2009)
By Jenny Taft
According to Denise Hajjar, women should wear "classic clothes in exquisite ways."
Not only did Hajjar showcase fitted, professional dresses, lovely evening gowns, and a double-breasted long black peacoat for which every woman would gladly fork over a hard-earned paycheck, but killer accessories as well.
Fur pieces, sunglasses, statement jewelry and bags accompanied every look that walked down the runway.
The event was held at Fairmont Copley Hotel--the location of Hajjar's boutique.
Admission to the show was free, but guests were encouraged to bring professional clothes for donation to "Dress for Success Boston," which promotes the independence of disadvantaged women by providing them with professional attire.
