EMMY FASHION REPORT

Tonight I was lucky enough to watch the Emmy's and of course I love watching the pre-show to see the dresses that the stars are wearing!

In my opinion there were numerous stunning outfits and a few looks that I didn't particularly love.

First of all, I think that Olivia Wilde has picked some great outfits in the past and I loved the dress she picked for the awards tonight.

61st Annual Primetime Emmy Awards - Arrivals

This dress fits her perfectly and I think it was a good risk for her to take. It's different yet so elegant.

Although the stars of Gossip Girl normally wear the most fashionable clothes on their television series Gossip Girl on the CW, I did not like either of the dresses worn by Blake Lively and Leighton Meester. I thought Lively's dress was gorgeous, yet I was too distracted by her retro hairstyle. Meester's dress did not complement her complexion, and it did not show off her physique. It appeared to be a few sizes too big.

January Jones is one of the leading ladies of the hit series Mad Men, and she looked absolutely stunning all night. It was definitely a risk for Jones to take but she looked amazing in the gown and I loved the overall look.

Marathon Monday

Today I had the opportunity to watch some of the 2009 Boston Marathon. Gina Lee and I interviewed a few different fans and volunteers who make the race possible by lending a hand or lending their words of encouragement to the runners.

I completely understand why many people believe that Marathon Monday is the best day in Boston!

Roadtrip to Manchester, N.H.

Gina Lee and I were busy all weekend up in Manchester, New Hampshire following the Men's Ice Hockey team as they faced Ohio State in the first round of the NCAA tournament. The terriers easily defeated the Buckeyes and then went on to play their Hockey East rival, The University of New Hampshire in the Second Round.

With less than a minute left to play, the BU Terriers scored a power-play goal to win the game and are now headed to the Frozen Four in Washington D.C.

Here is the rough footage of our trip...

Newbury Street

Boston is known for great shopping. Newbury Street is famous for fabulous boutiques and delicious restaurants. Many college student love going to Newbury Street to take a break from their hectic college lives on campus.

BU LACROSSE ROADTRIP

The Boston University Lacrosse team was not traveling to Mexico for spring break. Instead, they had a road trip to play against the University of Pennsylvania and also George Mason University. The girls enjoyed the week of lacrosse, great food, and most importantly time to bond with each other.

WOMEN'S HOCKEY SKATING STRIDES AGAINST BREAST CANCER GAME

I was lucky enough to go to the Women's Hockey Skating Strides against Breast Cancer game. It was a great organization and I really enjoyed talking to everyone involved and learning more about the Friends of Mel Foundation.

Life in Allston, MA

Although Allston is a neighborhood filled with many college students, it is not the most glamourous place to live in Boston. It may be more affordable, but if you really take a look around the area, you will most likely find lots of trash, plenty of empty beer cans, and houses that look like they may fall down any second.

I have created a slideshow on FLICKR.com for you to view my photos. Please let me know what you think!
